Amsterdam Industrial Development Agency Logo

AIDA was created in 1973 as a Public Benefit Corporation for the purpose of assisting in the creation and retention of both employment opportunities and businesses in the City of Amsterdam.

A seven member Board of Director's is appointed by the City Common Council to oversee the Agency's operations.

  Edson Street Industrial Park


Edson St Industrial Park is located on the very edge of the City of Amsterdam.  It is home to a number of businesses.  The location is truly "park like"  and affords a very nice view of the Mohawk Valley.

It comes with municipal water & sewer, electric service is on site and available.  Police and fire protection is provided by a professional fire department and police department located within minutes of the park.  It is also served by the Montgomery County Sheriff's Department and the New York State Police.  All of the roads in the park are maintained by the City of Amsterdam's Department of Public Works.

    Some of the current occupants in the Park include Universal Custom Millwork, Losurdo's Foods, Rayco of Schenectady, AGT Services, Breton Industries, Washburns Ice Cream/Refrigerated Lines, Freedom Packaging, Mohawk Signs, Bush Carpentry & Millwork and Northeast Riggers.
