AIDA has assisted companies in finding appropriate space for their business in the past, for example we recently helped a company that needed some more space recently for a process that they did not have room for in their existing facility.  AIDA went to several building owners in the area and was able to make a connection for them.  They are now leasing space in a building in the City of Amsterdam that we were able to help them obtain.

Bonding is done with the help of our Bond Counsel, a law firm located in Albany, NY.  We as an IDA have the power to obtain bonds.

AIDA
also employs a grant writer as well.  That is not to say that AIDA will be able to give prospective businesses grants but we might be able to seek grants that can help them either start their business or to expand for the future

Regarding training programs, we do not administer them ourselves but we are able to refer to other places that provide them like the Workforce Solutions Center that we work closely with.  AIDA has many relationships with area groups and entities and can be their "ONE STOP" to look for assistance in our area.

AIDA works with a number of other agencies including the New York State Empire Zone, the Montgomery County Chamber of Commerce and the Montgomery County Industrial Development Agency.  We do not do any of the paperwork for these organizations, or provide their services, but merely work together with them in an effort to promote the entire area with an emphasis on Amsterdam and any services that they have that would benefit the parties we are working with.
